Um, this has nothing to do with pkg/* files.  As clearly stated in the 
handbook (and on mailing lists), pkg/* files are mandatory WHETHER THE 
PORT IS PACKAGEABLE OR NOT.

I'll cough up something using the gdbtk/pkg/* files.
