I installed FreeBSD first. Used DOS 5.0 to partition the SCSI HD with a
"spare" 512MB partition unassigned. Then about a year later put NT 4.0
there. The standard FreeBSD boot manager (Boot Easy?) didn't have a
lick of problems detecting the NTFS filesystem.
