Not being an expert, my solution was to use the rstatd deamon:
In /etc/inetd.conf: uncomment "rstatd"
On a remote computer, write a script with as many lines as need
for all your servers with "rup otherhost"

you'll get (example taken from "man rup"):
example% rup otherhost
otherhost   7:36am  up 6 days, 16:45,  load average: 0.20, 0.23, 0.18
