Read "Radeon" as all GPUs with Radeon name. I have an assortment of hardware
using R100, R200, R300, and R600 drivers, only missing radeonSI and amdgpu.
Read "pre-GPU" to mean the stuff that worked with DRI1 but has almost
completely fallen by the way side. I have an assortment of older cards that
I'd like to restore proper support for, e.g. Matrox G200-G550, Rage128
(upstream devs have pondered DRI2 support as these are close to R100), Mach64
(I think I still have a working one), etc.

The recent Mesa updates (those I've done) are better tested on Radeon than
Intel though I lack recent AMD hardware. I don't test things I don't expect to
work, e.g. VDPAU without drm-next.

I have the same issue with needing root but haven't dug too deep. I have no
real OpenCL workloads to run but work be nice to see basic tests work. On my
Radeon HD 6970, clinfo hangs and clpeak seems to sit forever doing nothing.
