Thanks, Gary. First, I have downloaded the VirtualBox User Manual 3.0.4 and read it (or at least the relevant chapters) before installing VB, Windows 7, or the User Additions. But vboxsvr was not one of the options listed. After reading your response and re-reading the sub-chapter I realized that I should not assume that vboxsvr would show up and I did as you suggested.
