Been a happy user of nvidia and their closed source driver for a long time.
Only problem is the occasional incompatibilty with CURRENT.

But, buying a graphics card now, I'd try to get the opinion of someone
familiar with the ongoing fbsd graphics work on whether AMD is a better 
choice.
