   This one is my fault; I made the driver a little *too* automatic...it gets
the settings out of card's non-volatile memory. Unfortunately, this means that
if the user doesn't use the 'soft' settings (but rather configures the hard/
jumpered settings) that the autoconfig code in the driver uses the wrong values
(it uses the soft settings). I don't think there is a way around this problem
except to remove the feature from the driver. :-(
