actually I found that new Firefox 1.0.6 is less stable than 1.0.4(5) on both 
amd64 and i386. Though I dont have a problem ascribed above, on my amd64 
desktop and i386 laptop firefox crashes sometimes and flashplayer does not 
work anymore on i386 (on amd64 it never worked)
