   Hi!

I saw in the list, that the same problem arises many times before,
but I can't find a solution.

So: I have a ASUS P2B-S motherboard with AIC-7890 U2 chipset and
AIC-3860 transceiver onboard. Two HDDs: DDRS-34560 detected as SE
connected to a U2 68pin connector by LVD cable with supplied
terminator. One HP C1533A Storage Device connected to a Fast
SCSI-II 50pin connector, terminated by a passive terminator.

Dmesg follows:

I'm running amanda backups at night. Mostly every time, in the middle
of backup, I get the following errors:
--------------------------

xptioctl: pass driver is not in the kernel

--------------------------

I checked cables and termination many times, but without success.
May be I have to change some timeouts?

Please, help me find the answer.
