The maintainer of the Wine port has analyzed this and considers it a bug
in FreeBSD. He has reported it already, as misc/19077
 (http://www.FreeBSD.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=19077).

A workaround he suggested to me is to add

 	#undef trace

at the beginning of Wine's include/debugtools.h.
