I have written a new MBone tool, confcntlr, that is used to control vic and vat locally and remotely. It has been ported to freeBSD and I would be willing to offer it as an addition to your ports collection if you would like me to. How should I proceed, if you are interested? (A release has been put on our ftp site, accessible via: http://www-itg.lbl.gov/mbone/confcntlr if you want to take a look).
