I'm > using {kern,mfsroot}.flp and FTP installation. Same here on an old box with a PCI/ISA MB w/P100 CPU, but booting RC2 from floppies and installing from CDROM. The machine will boot Linux off CDROM, but neither 4.7-RELEASE or 5.0-RC2 (a design decision to not support older CDROM drive booting, rumor has it). :( But got this message in a popup box: Loading module if_awi.ko failed BayStack 660 and others Didn't get the "link_elf:" line.
