I run with 64 users and have never really noticed a difference from
the generic
kernel.  Your results may vary.

IIRC, the maximum file size is 4 gigs, so I doubt you'll run into a
problem there.
As far as number of files that you can have on the filesystem, I
forget the number,
but I don't think you'll bump into it.
