hi,
ermm... i did not download any drivers.  i couldnt get the correct driver on 
net.  mostly i read was for ISA.  btw.. did u mean i have to edit the 
kernel?  sorry to be so troublesome, cos im new to *nix base system.  :)

Did you have to download the drives from OSS to add
this option, or is it part of the 4.5 kernel ?

I was able to get mine to work with just the

device pcm

line.

Also, do you notice any clipping or odd noises with
your mp3/oggs ? I read that the sbLive wasn't supported
exceptionally well yet without 3rd party drivers.

It's more likly you'll hear these noises thru a good
set of speakers.
