Hi, > I know I read somewhere just a couple of days ago the environment > variable to set to allow FTP passive connections when building code in > ports, but I can't find any reference to it anywhere today! A quick search at www.freebsd.org would have found this; anyway the short answer is: Make the following changes in /etc/make.conf (scroll/search down to the FTP_PASSIVE_MODE line): FTP_PASSIVE_MODE= YES FETCH_BEFORE_ARGS= -p Make sure to uncomment the first line (it's commented out by default as I recall).
