The result is the same in console or X. BTW, looks like a similar problem was reported in http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=85972. The submitter has a logitech wireless keyboard, but the report seems to be distinct from other recent reports and mumblings about logitech wireless stuff not working).
