I have reported it under bugzilla -- http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=193973 It is in fact a mozilla bug. In fact, it's a double-bug: First mozilla-bin gets a segv, Then the script that invokes it fails to notice that it failed and doesn't give a useful message. The current port of galeon is affected as well.
