Originally I used it well. The X windows system=20 worked well with KDE, GNOME. But after I installed=20 XFree86-4 I cannot start X window again. The procedure=20 are following:=20 First I install XFree86-4:=20 #pkg_add XFree86-4.0.1_8.tgz=20 After it finished I got following message:=20 ******************************************=20 To improve security, the X server is installed without=20 a SUID bit. This is suitable for use with xdm, but not=20 with a startx script. If you need to use a startx script,=20 install the x11/wrapper package. ******************************************=20 Then I did: #pkg_add wrapper-1.0_1.tgz=20 After it finished I returned to the shell. From here I cannot start X window again!!!=20 #startx=20 I got the forllowing message as in file XFree86.0.log. =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D XFree86.0.log =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D XFree86 Version 4.0.1 / X Window System (protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6400) Release Date: 1 July 2000 If the server is older than 6-12 months, or if your card is newer than the above date, look for a newer version before reporting problems.
