Use `w3m -dump http://www.FreeBSD.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=#### | patch`.

It will correctly download the file for you.

Lynx just makes a mess of the thing no matter what you try to do.

The patch(1) is smart enough to realize that the patch is indented by
four spaces and smart enough to realize that some of the text is not
part of the patch.
