I noticed one inaccuracy very early in this tutorial; it says to use the
command:

/usr/local/bin/cvsup -g -L 2 /usr/src/stable-supfile

rather than

/usr/local/bin/cvsup -g -L 2 /usr/share/examples/cvsup/stable-supfile
