Seems it was last working on FreeBSD in the 5.2 days. Sorry for the confusion. According to the 5.2 release notes (http://www.freebsd.org/releases/5.2R/relnotes-sparc64.html) mount_smbfs was working then. mount_portalfs, mount_nwfs, and mount_smbfs were moved from /sbin to /usr/sbin. After that, I can't find information as to when it was determined to not include it in freebsd-sparc64. Best Regards, Jason Cox
