 Choosing your X Window system is supported by setting X_WINDOW_SYSTEM in 
 make.conf(5), which has been documented in the 20040723 entry of 
 ports/UPDATING (you are expected to read this file before submitting a 
 PR).
 
 When this doesn't work with some ports, you can either submit patches to 
 the respective maintainers, or as a follow-up to this PR, which will be 
 re-opened.
