I believe the binary is already available for download at
http://www.software.ibm.com/speech - choose the "Linux" option, or go
directly to http://www.software.ibm.com/is/voicetype/dev_linux.html. 
(BTW, information about IBM's Linux support is available at
http://www.ibm.com/linux.)
