Yeah, that's why I called it a hack anyway.  But my quick inspection
showed that usbdevs_data.h is used by usb_subr.c:

We have USBVERBOSE defined in usb_port.h, and usb_subr.c includes
usbdevs_data.h in this case, but you removed usbdevs_data.h:
