I 'ported' the Linux Dell SMM driver: http://sandcat.nl/~stijn/freebsd/ It exports some sysctl's exposing the fan status and the CPU temperature. Note the quotes -- it's still pretty experimental, and covered under the GPL instead of BSDL.
