Sometimes when switching from a virtual console into X, attempts to switch back to a virtual console (ctrl-alt-Fn) will result in just a beep from the console. This seems most prevalent if an attempt is quickly made to switch back (ie, I didn't mean to switch into X, said "d'oh!" and hit ctrl-alt-F1). The problem has surfaced with both XFree86 and Accelerated X. Has this happened to anyone else, and/or is there a fix?
