And 56 * 678 =? ------------------------------------ Quite some years ago I implemented a FORTRAN compiler/runtime environment that saw extensive use in the oil industry in the North Sea. After a few years of use I decided to polish the apple by making the runtime environment more efficient. I managed to come up with a new set of beautiful routines that made me feel real good as a programmer, requiring only one single slight change on the user side. That did NOT make me popular! But today the sun is shining after 5 weeks of rain!
