SINGLE is 1 and only 1 among a list of options MULTI is 1 or more among a list of options RADIO is 0 or 1 among a list of options GROUP is 0 or more among a list of options In the first implementation SINGLE had a non userfriendly way to do 0 or 1 = but people complained about complexity to do and understand, RADIO is there to = fix that situation GROUP I see it more as a convenient way too group the options together with= out forcing the user to choose at least one. See how it is used for example in = the apr1 port now. With the upcoming new dialog UI (planned for january) it will be even more clear.
