The result boots/runs well enough to recompile the kernel again. But at system shutdown, it Fatal Trap 12: page fault while in kernel mode. Thinking GATEWAY may now require other IPFIREWALL options, I tried a compile with all the Inet options except BSD4.2-compatability. This system also Fatal Traps in the exact same way. A compile of GENERIC runs fine. A compile of LINT aborts compiling *fddi.c... Is all this a known problem? nice system--keep up the fine work--I hope this is a contribution. I can provide lots more trap info/system config if desired. best regards/bob
