Subject: Do you use NFS for ESXi 6.5 on old hardware?

Hi,

Recent work has determines that ESXi 6.7 works much better with the FreeBSD=
 NFS
server for NFSv4.1 than ESXi 6.5 does. (Once a patch not yet in head/curren=
t is
committed.)

I don't think support for ESXi 6.5 for NFSv4.1 is practical. ESXi 6.5 can u=
se NFSv3 or
iSCSI to use a FreeBSD server.

Apparently ESXi 6.7 will only work on newer hardware and I was just wonderi=
ng
if there is anyone negatively impacted by only supporting ESXi6.7 for NFSv4=
.1?

Thanks for your comments, rick
