	IBM....IBM backed the DOS box, published the BIOS to the XT
and the AT.  Clone makers duplicated the box at a greatly reduced
price to teh end user.  Businesses everywhere jumped on board (you
never got fired for buying IBM) and created the market for DOS and
Windows.  Only later did users demand better functionality, and ease
of use.
