I'm over with TERMCAP_WINS hacks; the situation now is:
-> pico *always* uses MDTCAPWINS ; '-q' doesn't change anything
-> pine has a F_TURN_ON(F_TCAP_WINS,ps) in the code for "default
settings"; this accomplishes 2 things: when running for the first time
or when upgrading from an older version this flag is set on by
default; the user can later disable TCAP_WINS by unselecting the flag
    "termdef-takes-precedense" in the configuration window.

 Your opinion, Ache ?

I'm going for KHOME/KEND keys patch now...
