Hi the list, My Asus P5ND2-SLI Deluxe mobo (nForce4 MCP04 chipset) has an ALC850 sound chipset by Realtek. With a little patch (kern/106829), that works fine. Almost fine. One can use output on at least 4 channels (2 front speakers and 2 rear speakers). The fact is that only the 2 front speakers work. There is no sound on the 2 rear. I use aumix, or mixer : Mixer vol is currently set to 100:100 Mixer pcm is currently set to 100:100 Mixer speaker is currently set to 75:75 Mixer line is currently set to 75:75 Mixer mic is currently set to 0:0 Mixer cd is currently set to 75:75 Mixer rec is currently set to 0:0 Mixer igain is currently set to 100:100 Mixer ogain is currently set to 100:100 Mixer line1 is currently set to 100:100 Mixer phin is currently set to 100:100 Mixer phout is currently set to 100:100 Recording source: mic and it sounds not so bad. How can one fix it ? Thanks in advance. Cheers, -- http://scipy.org/FredericPetit
