The source code is freely available -- at zero price, what more can you ask for? If you think BSDI or SCO does a better job then write them a big check. But if you think FreeBSD is as good or better, especially considering you can do anything with the source code, how does your conscience allow you to use it in a commercial setting and sleep at night without offering a voluntary contribution towards continued development?
