Hi I can't seem to install FreeBSD from my Pioneer (512B/block selected [normally used on a Sun3]) SCSI CDrom drive, with an Adaptec AHA1520B controller. Done all the preinstall hardware setup (ie; IRQ's, I/O addresses, iomem, iosize, etc) and it does all work on the same DEC 425i PC (486SX) under DOS/Win3.x & 9x. Should I be able to install FreeBSD using the above method, or is it not possible. The other odd thing is that when I attempt an installation via my network, the only choices appear to be via serial and or parallel ports, but not over the ethernet (eg; from a Sun3/3x running SunOS 4.1, or a Linux/Solaris 7 PC).
