https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D221011 Bug ID: 221011 Summary: [autofs] automounter starts late Product: Base System Version: 11.0-STABLE Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: misc Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: p-fbsd-bugs@ziemba.us I recently switched from amd to autofs and found that some of my boot-time daemons did not find their nfs-mounted files available. The dependencies given in /etc/rc.d/automountd and /etc/rc.d/automount cause rcorder to place them last. amd's position in the order is much earlier. Would it be feasible to change the REQUIRE parameters in /etc/rc.d/automoun= td from "DAEMON" to match those in amd, namely, "rpcbind ypset nfsclient FILESYSTEMS ldconfig"? I use NIS for automounter maps. Are there further considerations for systems that use LDAP that influenced the use of DAEMON? --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
