sorry.  i assumed this was known so was too terse

mtree was found, it is on path

/var/tmp/temproot was created

ignore me for a few hours.  i have
  o gotten some sleep
  o blown away /usr/obj
  o did a cvsup without -s (nothing except ports changed)
  o and am doing a make buildworld now
