After upgrading to 4.2-release, startx returns the followinf error(s):
Xwrapper: no modules loaded for `xserver' service
Authentication failed - cannot start X server
Perhaps you do not have console ownership?

/etc/fbtab has been edited to uncomment the /dev/console line,
Xwrapper and xinit are in /usr/X11R6/bin
