I also have a PnP modem (SupraFax 33.6) and to install it under BSD I
just had to set up the next COM port. i.e. I have COM 1 and 2 on a board
in my cpu.The modem then comes up and creates COM 3, BUT it's at IRQ 5.
Just enable COM 3 under the visual config boot, and it should work
(assuming of course that you have only 2 COM ports.) FreeBSD doesn't seem
to work with com ports that share IRQ's (Like if you were to have 2 I/O
boards [COM1, irq4;COM2, irq3;COM3, irq 4;COM4, irq 3]) If all else fails
you could check under WinBLOWS device manager and check out the resource
list for the modem, then configure FreeBSD to comply.
