All I get on the laptop is: $ mosh remotehost Connection to remotehost closed. /usr/bin/mosh: Did not find mosh server startup message. I've tried rebuilding mosh (and all dependencies) on the host to no avail. This isn't the DSA change that's been discussed elsewhere: I can SSH from my laptop to the host without problem. I can also manually invoke mosh-client and mosh-server and it works. Unfortunately, mosh has no provision for debugging. I've tried hacking the mosh perl script to make it more verbose and that shows that: 1) the "MOSH CONNECT" message isn't making it out of the local ssh process. 2) it's racy because I can get it from "always fails" to "sometimes works". My suspicion is that something has changed in either sshd or TCP that is resulting in the connection going away before the stdout from the remote mosh-server makes it out from the local ssh process. I've looked at tcpdump's of both successful and failed SSH sessions but don't see anything obviously different (encryption makes it difficult to decode the session). Has anyone else seen this behaviour or have any ideas what might be causing it? --=20 Peter Jeremy --SLDf9lqlvOQaIe6s Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQJ8BAEBCgBmBQJXquNXXxSAAAAAAC4AKGlzc3Vlci1mcHJAbm90YXRpb25zLm9w ZW5wZ3AuZmlmdGhob3JzZW1hbi5uZXRFRUIyOTg2QzMwNjcxRTc0RTY1QzIyN0Ux NkE1OTdBMEU0QTIwQjM0AAoJEBall6Dkogs0jYMQAIlS3y9xU4Y3atZNIBDTW7mB CFewmgQfbvC4hvXYhSmXyI8X7ZSZaGnCkNLo2gXXPHjg8Q7Zxkbz1luG/DJlXwlx rY3TPgB2T/UiIzwngAVsnUa76dqgTqmFpdLFa6Qb1+6FCeTWKt8tncEv1zquv0vk OXdVtAnM+PjMnmEEc+5U41hZxaAjqZc5DeD6GJGH/V8WCno/gRujef+wl97XGTk5 +fBU6J2wuSGqT6Ys9lDFUY2dMfUaUHn7aCbKvLIdelry4tjmqsRGNpU6deUP4Y1P r4xlZefCWdfxR//OqgCxtOtygg6vMvejEVWnkVm++naxgszr8lGFn+EukpJfDajT jqvJHNJEN5g1i4/596wAF16aB8Hcwt7kDDX6dbfnvhw+8nc4+JgDt4BwoTVqtGOM EE4d47A48VuyAps6wAWrEk/6PrjMWnIch724bkf3k0VA4LD0A7V3axHbXSoBFElj 5WIaurz86xhrVSC2nvJMrddwGTigD0wLYwdYmQMy5EPaukOoGZS0vowqoLjv+GMI dM0pUvPPDcsHxLVpQsNSVun1XIVcpy7iG1l2zJwZxfrWUTXfCITFdFYToQZzYile JmKscG0ErIjrKUX3OyA/P6zHLSEq/G1zAX+jEVGB6iC612B9HSX3WuR/mYqew5VV L6ZgNfhy0uWjL2wNE2Bw =RVeM -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --SLDf9lqlvOQaIe6s--
