Hi,

Some sanity checking:

Kernel sources are in /usr/src

And latest version DRM module is built from 
/usr/ports/graphics/drm-current-kmod ?

Can you check that /boot/modules gets cleaned after you deinstall 
drm-current-kmod and gpu-firmware-kmod (both needs to be rebuilt).
