Doesn't work here. I changed the values using setuppro.exe (I swapped the SB
and Wave DMA channels), verified that it still works under DOS and then
changed the kernel config. The result:

jos:/home/jos# top -b -n 100 | grep cat
  434 root      -6   0   208K    96K pcmwr    0:00  0.00%  0.00% cat

FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm) Nov 23 1999 16:50:08
Installed devices:
pcm0: <CS4231> at io 0x530 irq 11 drq 1:0 (1/1 channels duplex)
