Is it appropriate to refer to Jordan's statement on letting Linux be the
Open source pur sang and FreeBSD being able to emulate, or is that
irrelevant? (sorry, I can't give the precise reference or URL, but I hope
you've read it)

I've been discussing this with Mike and the outcome was that it was better
to return Linux.

I'm certainly not going to fight about this. If I get overruled, then so be
it. Any problems I encounter due to uname not returning Linux must simply
be solved then. Unfortunately for me, I'm probably the one to solve them...
