Not sure on the status on  AMD's release. 

OTOH, you can check xorg 7.2 support for 3d cards - if I understand it correctly, the 9550 is part of the r300 driver ( http://dri.freedesktop.org/wiki/ATIRadeon?value=CategoryHardware#head-2f5098616350345fc8b9d26888cb729d63303cf2 ).
