Having libc_r and libpthread working on sparc64 would be a Very Good Thing for 5.0. Do you need access to sparc64 hardware to do proper testing of the libc_r on that platform? That can probably be arranged pretty easily (either remote access, or if you drop e-mail to donations@, real access).
