Date: Mon, 22 Oct 2012 11:40:23 +0200 From: Stephan Schindel <sts@tp1.rub.de> To: freebsd-ports@freebsd.org Subject: Xpdf: Where is pdfinfo and pdftotext? Hey, I've updated my xpdf installation and now the tools '/usr/local/bin/pdfinfo' and '/usr/local/bin/pdftotext' are gone, which are previously bundled with xpdf. I tried reinstalling xpdf, but that does not help. Where is it gone? The manpages are still there. # pkg info -xl xpdf xpdf-3.03_3 owns the following files: /usr/local/bin/xpdf /usr/local/etc/xpdfrc /usr/local/libexec/xpdf/pdfdetach /usr/local/libexec/xpdf/pdffonts /usr/local/libexec/xpdf/pdfimages /usr/local/libexec/xpdf/pdfinfo /usr/local/libexec/xpdf/pdftoppm /usr/local/libexec/xpdf/pdftops /usr/local/libexec/xpdf/pdftotext /usr/local/libexec/xpdf/xpdf /usr/local/man/man1/pdfdetach.1.gz /usr/local/man/man1/pdffonts.1.gz /usr/local/man/man1/pdfimages.1.gz /usr/local/man/man1/pdfinfo.1.gz /usr/local/man/man1/pdftoppm.1.gz /usr/local/man/man1/pdftops.1.gz /usr/local/man/man1/pdftotext.1.gz /usr/local/man/man1/xpdf.1.gz /usr/local/man/man5/xpdfrc.5.gz /usr/local/share/doc/xpdf/ANNOUNCE /usr/local/share/doc/xpdf/CHANGES /usr/local/share/doc/xpdf/README /usr/local/share/doc/xpdf/hello.pdf # Also, /usr/local/bin/ps2ascii, part of ghostscript, is an alternative to pdftotext.
