Yes. Currently, only source of info is ralink's own driver. It consists of 100+ 
files. You need to be quite motivated to browse them.

Can you tell me what kind of clients you are using, NICs and os?

wlan_XXX modules are depend on wlan(4). Maybe that's the cause.
