The Linux version will probably not emulate well. They aren't also happy with the performance of Oracle under FreeBSD. It was fast enough for their NC stuff, but not up to usual Oracle standards. John Dyson spent a bunch of time working on AIO extensions to speed up Oracle. I belive the AIO stuff is working in current now.
