Hi, I was wondering if it were possible to push MIDI data out using a 16550 based serial port. I'd like to be able to control my midi devices from my PC's serial ports and would like the record the incoming data too. Issues that I can think of are: (a) getting precise timing of the output bytes right (b) reading in data with similar determinism of the time Has anyone taken this approach before? I'd be running FreeBSD -current on a SiS '496 motherboard with built-in serial ports. Thanks, Koshy -- These are my personal opinions.
