Well you'll never guess why I was having so damn much trouble. I couldn't figure it out, so I stopped, took lunch and came back fresh. I looked at the Ether net cabling even through only yesterday I hooked it up. Wouldn't you know it, the T connector on the back of the unix box was broken. I fixed it and went bact to the basic ifconfig that you gave me. I set it up as ?.?.?.1 and the ppp link as ?.?.?.2. To shortrn what could be a real long story, this letter is coming to you via an ether net connection then through our ppp link to our service provider in stead of through a direct modem connection. <ARGHHH...ARGHHHH. ARGHHH> I feel good. Thank you for all your help! once I was able to ping my workstation I was able to finish the Lantastic set up. ------------------------------------------ | Michael Caughey. | | mcaughey@infi.net | | running FreeBSD 2.0! | ------------------------------------------
